NWAYS CAMPUS MANAGER LAN AIX
My customer has a RS6K running Lan Campus Manager and Rmon component.
We had significant problems last year and finally had a specialist on
site to resolve issues.....While that specialist was on site she loaded
current versions of Lan Campus Manager and Rmon component from CD with
60 day usage..... My customer has received the "real stuff" and needs
to know where the "password" is located to unlock the code for usage.
We ordered Lan Campus Manager upgrade 5803-AAR Feature 0822 and RMon
Componenet Upgrade 5803-AAr Feature 0826.
Where is the password key located?

The "password" or licenses for the NWAYS components(LAN, ATM, Remote
Monitor, Traffic Monitor) are each on their own separate CDROMs that
come with the order for each component. The procedure for applying
the license is printed on the flyer inserted in the CDROM jewel case.
The instructions are simply:
1) login as root
2) create directory /cdrom (if not already created)
3) insert CDROM into drive
4) mount -r -v cdrfs /dev/cd0 /cdrom (where cdrom device is /dev/cd0)
5) Enroll license by entering command:
/var/ifor/i4nat -a -f /cdrom/xxxxxxx.ecf (where the x's are
the actual filename of the file on the CDROM and as listed in the
flyer intructions in the CDROM jewel case.
After the previous command is completed successfully, the nodelock
file in /var/ifor will contain the proper license info for the product
component. You can view the nodelock file in a formatted form by
entering /var/ifor/i4nat -l and the output lists all licenses
INCLUDING old ones.(Just make sure your new one is listed).
