My user would like to know if he can have a CICS/6000 test
region and a CICS/6000 production region running at the same
time on the same RS/6000?

R: Response:
A single RISC System/6000 may execute multiple CICS/6000
regions concurrently. Each of these regions must be defined
separately. Each region will execute as a set of separate
AIX processes but will not interfere with each other.
Both a production and development CICS regions can coexist
on the same machine without adverse interaction with each
other. They have the ability to either share Encina SFS
files or have separate files on the same Encina server or
even have their own instance of an Encina Server.
The CICS/6000 Customization and Operation Guide describes
the process of CICS region creation.
