I would like to know about the difference between System Monitor
V1.1 and V1.2. I know the general differences between
sysmon R1 and R2, but I would like more detailed information
about them, especially if there are any changes of internal logic,
please let me know. And are there any documents about them?
ANSWER
Sysmon 1.1 and 1.2 have the same functionality. The only differences
between them are:
- 1.2 incorporates many fixes, and is therefore much more stable
- 1.2 includes support within the AIX API for non-AIX agents, such
as HP, NCR and Sun.
The internal logic for the two releases is essentially unchanged.
