I have new errlog items after installing PMP3250, but I can't find a
description of these in manuals. The new items are:
Label : INIT_RAPID
Label : INIT_UNKNOWN
Label : INIT_OPEN
Label : INIT_CREATE
Label : INIT_UTMP
Label : ACCT_OFF
I think that the first 5 items are something related to init
activities,
and last one means system accounting was turned off. Could you tell me
about those errlog descriptions?
ANSWER
I was unable to find any printed documentation on the error codes
you listed. However by looking in the '/usr'include/sys/errids.h'
file I found the following descriptions:
INIT_RAPID - init command respawning too rapidly
INIT_UNKNOWN - init unknown error logged -- check detail
INIT_OPEN - init cannot open
INIT_CREATE - init cannot create utmp
INIT_UTMP - init failed write of utmp entry
We could not find any reference to the ACCT_OFF message. We tried
shutting down AIX Accounting many different ways and could not
produce that error in the Error Log. If you could tell us how
you are able to produce the ACCT_OFF message, we could further
research where the message is coming from, after reopening this
item.
