Has AIX/6000 V3 been officially certified as having security level C2?
An URGENT reply will be appreciated.
The announcement letter ZP92-0104 only says that it is designed for C2.
EQUAL item OZSQ508269 dated 1/15/93 says the same thing and that the
paperwork takes time. What is the current status?
ANSWER
AIX v3.2 has not been C2 Security Certified and due to the time and
cost of becoming certified, AIX v3.2 will not be going through the
C2 Certification process. However, AIX v3.2 is completely C2 Security
compliant.
