I have some questions about the AIX-RS/6000 connection with TCP/IP.
First, in SBCS mode, I can log on the MVS.
But in DBCD mode, I can not log on.
In DBCS mode, when I tried to connect to the MVS, the message
appeared as follows:
EZY4206I IBM TCP/IP TELNET SERVER DBCS SERVICE START AT .....
EZY4210I KEY-IN YOUR TERMINAL TYPE & CONVERSION TYPE
Then, I input 'VT100/SJISKANJI' or 'VT282/SJISKANJI' and entered.
But nothing happend. So, I can not log on the MVS.
In AIX , The command I used is " tn -e vt100 MVS-hostname ".
The TERM value is "VT100".
The LANG value is "Ja_JP".
As above, I can not connect the MVS with the AIX.
But I could connect the DEC with the MVS.
The value used in the DEC was the same.
Are there any problem in my operation?
Is there any information to solve it?
My next question is for the TERM value.
In AIX , VT100 is supported ,but VT282 was not .
In MVS , VT282 is supported in DBCS mode , buy VT100 is not.
So, when I try to connect with MVS , can I substitute VT100 for VT282 ?
If I can not , what should I do ?

I have received a response to your question, I will append it below:
The problem is not with telnet.
Discussed the problem with tty group.
Going by your problem description the solution would be to
make VM support VT100. I dont know how exactly it is done on VM.
It should be analogous to adding a new terminfo entry on AIX.
If VT100 does not support MBCS, then you may have to define
a terminfo entry for VT282 and use a Vt282 terminal.
