IBM eNetwork Firewall V3.2 for AIX
Can a customer use an ASCII display attached to the RS/6000 serial port
to install and configure the firewall? Could a customer have an
ASCII display as their console, and then use a LAN attached PC to
configure the firewall? Thanks.
A:
The IBM eNetwork Firewall product uses Install Shield to install the
product which displays graphical windows. The configuration and
administration of the Firewall is done via Java (graphical) panels.
So it is necessary to have a display that supports graphics to work
with the IBM Firewall product.
Thanks for using ASKQ
