AIX V4 bos.compat fileset

Desc:

The customer had a question about the /etc/objrepos/sm* links and why
they were missing in AIX V4.  I told her about the bos.compat.links
fileset and how all the links that were in AIX V3 can be installed on
AIX V4 by installing bos.compat.links.  The customer will install this
fileset, but would like to know if these filesets will continue to be
provided in future releases of AIX.

Action:

According to "All About AIX Version 4", Chapter 3, "Future
Directions", filesets with "compat" in their name have been identified
as function that will not be available in the next release of AIX.
Any time a customer must install a "compat" fileset, their application
may need to be modified to execute on future versions of AIX.
