GL file to JetDirect attached Plotter won't plot.

Response:
ENV:
        aix 3.2.5
plotter attached with HP JetDirect card

DESC: Customer just moved from one building to another and cannot
get the JetDirect attached plotter to plot. We can ping the plotter,
but nothing printed to the queue ever gets there. Hooked plotter
to a PC and it plotted just fine.
plotter hostname is hp.

tn hp 9100

IN;SP1;PD 4000,4000;SP0;PG;
Then hit escape character

 Got a diagonal line.
Then the test plot. So this showed that we did get something
over to the plotter.
IN;SP1;PA 2032,2032;CI 1500;SP0;PG;
This printed a circle.
Created file: with this information called it banana.

/usr/lib/lpd/pio/etc/piohpnpf -x ipaddress banana
This now plotted.
qprt -Pglhp banana
ps -ef | grep pio
piohpnpf
piojetd
Plotter did nothing
/usr/lib/lpd/pio/etc/piohpnpf -x ipaddress banana
plotted again
/usr/lib/lpd/pio/etc/piohpnpf -x ipaddress user_plot_file
This plotted
/etc/qconfig - changed the hostname in the backend from gistr
to the ipaddress.
qprt -Pglhp banana
lpstat -vglhp shows READY.
The job plotted.
Issued the command:
host gistr
This showed the name of the host, not the name of the plotter
The Hostname should have been hp. She will now change this to hp
in /etc/qconfig so if they change ip addresses later this won't
mess things up.

Corrected the hostname and everything plotted fine.

The key is that you can use a simple GL sequence to test the
plotter.
