Make a .rhosts file in the home directory of the user on the server
machine.  Make the entry (system_name user_name) for the user on the
client machine that you want to act as this user on the server.
chmod 600 the /.rhosts file.

AIX 3.1.5 seems to want lines in the .rhosts file to look like:

hostname user

or

hostname.fully.qualified.domain user (if in a DNS environment)

and not 

IPaddress user
