How are profiles xinit & xinitrc executed

Question:

How are profiles xinit & xinitrc executed during login?

Response:

Customer wanted to know how to get rid of the aixterm that
pops up immediately after logging into an xession.

There was no file in the home directory called .xinitrc, so
I told her to check /usr/lpp/X11/defaults/xinitrc. We found the line
which made the aixterm call, and I told her she could either comment
the line out or delete it if she wished. The customer then asked how
to have this take effect for only one user. I told her to copy this
xinitrc file to their home directory, rename it to .xinitrc, and get
rid of the aixterm call.
