RAID can we use the 3001 remote power and control feature with a 590?

Question:

We have a RISC system model 590, and a RAID box 7135-110 with the 
the disk drive expansion unit and two
SCSI adapters (2420 and 9219).

Can we use the remote power and control feature (FC 3001)?

Response:

One 3001 may be attached to the 7135 model 010 or
110, or two 3001s may be attached to a model 110 with the disk drive
expansion unit.  However, one 3001 is sufficient for a 7135 with the
disk drive expansion unit.  The remote power on control feature can be
connected to the power circuits of up to two RISC systems so that
power to the 7135 can be controlled from either system.  One must
have a 7015 rack model RISC system, or the 7202 expansion rack, to use
this feature.  The remote power on control feature connects to a host
system via power control interface (PCI) cables which typically exist
in the rack CPU drawer, power distribution unit and other drawers in a
rack system.
