unable to access man pages: receive: 0703-203 - cannot open database

(Question:

AIX 3.2.4

Have techlib on cdrom, receive the following error when try to execute 
'man man':
  unable to access man pages: receive: 0703-203 - cannot open database

Asked if the cdrom was indeed mounted, it was.  Explained that this is
a 'common' problem if the cd was removed from the cdrom drive without
first umounting it.

Try the following:
  umount -f /usr/lpp/info/data/techlib    (ie. the mount point)
  mount /dev/cd0

The above commands did a force umount of the cdrom (using the mount point),
and you were then able to mount the cdrom properly and everything now
appears to be working,
