If a mirrored disk goes bad do I get a message?

Question:

Will I get some kind of error message if my SCSI attached disk drive
goes bad and it is a mirror of another disk?

Response:

You will not get any special errors except for the standard errors in
the error report (errpt).  You can also look at the hard drives using
"lspv hdiskX", where X is for your hdisks, and look at the line for
STALE PARTITIONS.  If there are any stale partions then this is a good 
indication that disk is not being kept synced and you will need to 
further investigate your system to determine the problem.

You can issue a cron job to check the errpt for any hdisk errors and 
also to check for any stale partitions on your hard drives.
