Question:

I have an RS at 3.2.4 which has been running DCE 1.2 for some time now.
I am trying to start up the security client daemon with
When starting DCE with the following command:

 rc.dce sec_clientd

the following message is received:

 security clientd: unable to validate machine context.

Response:

The keytab file /krb5/v5srvtab appeared to have gotten corrupted.
Reset the passwords for the hosts/hostname/self and 
hosts/hostname/cds-server principals and re-added them to the 
keytab file.
