AIX 4.2.1: ATM LANE IP/Netmask gone after reinstall

KEYWORDS: lane, lan emulation, atm le, ip address, netmask,
interface, sysback restore 155 ATM Streaming Adapter.
ENV: AIX v4.2.1 and ATM adapter with LAN Emulation

PROBLEM: During system restore the IP address and Netmask are not
                restored for his ATM adapter.
*ACTION PLAN: This is fixed by the following APAR for bos.rte.bosinst:

APARTXT IX76181 = (AIXV42 only) ATTRIBUTES NOT BEING RESTORED
When a mksysb tape is restored on a system having ATM
the RDA command builds a series of configuration
commands to restore the device configuration. It first
uses mkdev to define and configure the ATM followed by
chdev to set the attributes. However, the mkdev is
failing because the ATM device can not be configured until
after certain attributes have been set. But on this
type of failure, mkdev deletes the CuDv object for the
device from the ODM. Thus, the subsequent chdev to set
the ATM attributes fails because the device is not in the
 ODM.
