C++ compilation flags for other platforms

Our customer is running 3.2.5 on a model 340.
What compile option is used to compile to the different hardware
platforms?

Response:

With xlC++ 2.1, there is a new option -qarch which will allow
the user to pick which hardware architecture (POWER, Power2, PowerPC601)
