PERFORMANCE: I am losing memory blocks

Question:

  I have a 990 running 3.2.4.  I have 640 megs of RAM.  When
  I run a cobol application I see memory being used from
  the output of vmstat.  After the program dies I don't see this
  memory come back.  Did I lose the memory  or did I not read
  vmstat correctly.

Response:

I am still leaking memory.  I have to reboot to retrieve my memory.  I
have the software development, the vendor of the software and the
RS6000 people working to narrow my problem down.  I want to know if I
am hitting a memory limit.

Response:

Told the customer that AIX "naturally" consumes all of RAM and having
the number of free frames near the minumum size of the free list is
not necessarily a problem.
