NetView/6000 Printing Questions

Question:

How does one print using Netview/6000.

Response:

When using info -l nv6000 documentation, you can customize the
printer with the customize, defaults option for default printer
and the customize, preferences option for print preferences.

When printing graphics or netview screen options, you can use
either the netview tools window printer or the pull-down option
from the tools menu item using the print option. Then
specify which printer to choose and select the printing as follows:
     1. Select 'Print' from the 'Tools' pulldown menu or Tool Palette
     2. Click on the 'Capture' button from the 'Window Print Tool'
         window.
     3. Move the mouse pointer to the window to be printer and
press on the left mouse button.
     4. Enter a view name in the 'View Identification' window
and click on the 'OK' button. The name entered will be the file name
for the data to be printed and will appear in the Selected box.
     5. Use the mouse to select the desired view name in the Selected box.
5 and press the 'OK' button.
     6. Click on Options, Destinations, and select a printer capable of
printing the graphical image and click on OK.
     7. Click on the 'Print' button in the 'Window Print Tool' window.

Selected images can be saved to disk using the 'File, Save' option of the
print tool. These images can then be printed from NetView using the 'File,
Load' option of the print tool. If you need to print gray scale or change
the orientation of the file, this can be done using the 'Options, Settings'
option of the print tool.

Printing the on-line help will print to the default print queue configured
in /etc/qconfig. Modifications need to be made, if each user wants to
print to a specific queue rather than the default queue for the on-line
help. There is a file in the /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults directory called
OVHelp, in that file there is a lineas follows:

OVHelp*PrintCommand /usr/bin/lp

Copy this line to each users .Xdefaults file and add the appropriate
print configuration statements to the lp command and that
will customize the on-line help printing.
