How to use xlC++ on networked hosts

Question:

Customer wants to install xlC on a single host and network mount the
compiler, rather than installing on multiple machines.

I informed him that most of xlC++ is located in /usr/lpp/xlC, which
could be network mounted, but some file links will have to be created
manually.  These links can be ascertained by browsing the file
/usr/lpp/xlCcmp/xlCcmp.obj.al, and looking for lines that do _not_
name files in /usr/lpp/xlC.
