CMVC licensing questions

Question:

I have questions about the underlying licence with NetLS that CMVC
uses. If you open up a CMVC connection, is the license good until you
close it, or could it run out?

Response:

The CMVC GUI does not grab a NetLS token. CMVC grabs a NetLS token when
a CMVC command is issued and that token is held for 15 minutes,
regardless of how long the command takes. If there is time remaining
on the 15 minute token, other commands will be run using the same token.
In addition, several CMVC sessions can be open and multiple commands
can be issued during the 15 minutes using the same token.

Likewise, if a command takes more than 15 minutes, the token is released
at the end of the 15 minutes, even though the command is not finished.

This token limit can be reset to a higher number, but it cannot be set
to a lower value.

This was done so that the tokens can be applied to commands (i.e.
transactions) performed within CMVC and a token is not required
simply to have the GUI up and running.
