cmvc build component tree. dotted lines between components don't show

Question:

Model 950
 Version 3.2.4

You are using a t20 station running CMVC6000 version 2.1.0 and there
is a problem with the dashed lines not showing up to connect the
components. The current setup has a white background. When a component
is made active by clicking on it it also turns white. Are the dashed
lines not showing up because of the background and foreground being
the same and why doesn't the connecting lines show up.

Response:

NILM

Response:

The resources for the component Tree View are found in the file
/usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/Cmvc; a copy of this file exists in each
user's home directory. Some of the resources for the tree window are
listed; the customer modified the resource

compTreeView*background:

and set a background color to something other than white. The
question is, is this the way cmvc is supposed to be setup initially?
And what are the actual resource names that modify these colors?

Response:

The only documented resources are those contained in /usr/lib/app-defaults/Cmvc.
Modifying the background color can have an adverse affect, as described
here, especially when not all colors/paramters of the GUI are documented
or for public consumption.

I am taking these issues back to CMVC development and their customer
requirements process, but for now, if the customer modifies resources,
the customer must look out for side effects.
