UPDATED: 7026-H50: system hangs on tape restore

 ENV:           7026-H50 with pre October 1996 firmware.
                WIL98091 system microcode and
                AG980421 Service processor microcode
                All versions of AIX, any tape drive

 PROBLEM:       Booting from any tape and restoring data causes system
                hang in some cases and reboot in others.
                This happens at random point in restore.
                If this happens writing to the disk has happened,
                then the system could hang at 517 upon reboot
                right after the system goes down.

*ACTION PLAN:   This is to be corrected in the October 1998 release of
                the H50 microcode.
                If backup was a mksysb, then boot from CD, then restore
                from tape.
                As a workaround, Enter SMS and reset the bootlist to
                default, even if it has never been altered before.
