sbdevice: unable to open file, value too large to

Question:

PROBLEM SUMMARY:
sbdevice: unable to open file, value too large to

Env:
  AIX 4.2.1
  RISC J30
  sysback 4.1.4.3

Problem:
Customer backups up about 18gb filesystem using the
mkjfsback command and then tries to restore that
  filesystem

  He gets this error message:

sbdevice: cannot open sysback_images (f/s name)
sbdevice: unable to open file, value too large to
            store in data type.

I had the customer do this:

cd /usr/sbin
cp sysrestore sysrestore.bak

vi sysrestore

Find this line:

        runcommand "sbdevice -q $dev" "" $hostname

And comment it out

\# runcommand "sbdevice -q $dev" "" $hostname

Now the command works.

Questions:

Do we need to run the sbdevice command against a file?
If so then we will need to create a large enabled version
of this file.

A 4.2 verison of sbdevice will be included int he software
package and automatically installed if Sysback is installed on
a 4.2 or later system.
