System Recovery Option hanging

Env:
  AIX 4.2.1
  RISC 590
  sysback 4.2.0

Problem:
I went to the Utilities menu
I choose to read the second image on the tape
I choose to perform a System Recovery 

It hung with these messages:

Making "jfs" logical volume: hd4 ..
Making "jfs" logical volume: hd2 ..

I did a ctrl c

Process interrupted - entering shell.
Type "exit" when ready to continue ..
Making / filesystem ..
Making  /usr filesystem ..

Fielsystems have been created successfully.

Process interrrupted - entering shell.
Type "exit" when ready to continue.

ksh> 
I typed exit

It appears to have  continued.

I will put a file called debug1.out in the directory /home/sysback

When the install process is done
