Issues with a no-prompt install on a different system

Question:

Env:
  AIX 4.2
RISC 590 (sever) and 390 (client)
  sysback 4.2.0.0

Problem:
I created a full system backup remotely from the 390 to the 590
I then appended another full system backup created on the 590 to
  the same tape.

I setup for a no-prompt install, here are the values I used:

cat /tftpboot/mars.sbinfo

PLATFORM rs6k
SPOT /usr
SPOTSRV 9.19.145.161
SPOTGATE 9.19.145.161
INSTSRV 9.19.145.161
INSTGATE 9.19.145.161
INSTMODE noprompt
INSTPROG /usr/lpp/sysback/inst/sysinst_noprompt
CONSOLE /dev/lft0
VGOPT root
RESTDEV /dev/rmt1
BUSEQ 2
SBDEBUG=1

So what I am doing is restoring the 2nd full system backup
which was created on the 590. The scsi ids are the same
between the two systems. It did not asked me if I wanted to
remove sysback and the network parameters.

I put the debug.out file in the /home/sysback directory

The backup I was restoring was a power backup, I am not sure
if that matters.

This is a no-prompt install, so it will not ask these
questions. Sysback will never be removed from the system
and the network parameters will also not be removed. I realize
that this may pose a problem when installing from a different
image.

How do you think this should be handled? There are a few
options:

1. Dont do anything, requiring the user to setup the "rmnet"
post-install script if they want the network info removed
   (the way it is now).

2. Always remove the network parameters
3. Remove the old params and reapply the new params according
to the network install client info (but what about the old
routing tables, network params configured for other
   adapters, etc?)

4. Force a prompt even if in no-prompt mode
5. Add an extra option to the network install defaults setup for
removal of network params and of sysback product
(this list of setup options may be getting a bit long).
