The microcode download cannot be performed against a 7208 tape drive

Env:
  AIX 3.2.5
  RISC 7012
  Tape 7208-011 5gb 8mm

Problem:
Customer is having troubles loading micro-code for a 7208-011
tape drive. Customer is getting this error message when
  Loading it from diskette:

The microcode download cannot be performed.

An error occurred while attempting to access the microcode file.
This is an indication of one of the following conditions:

   1. The latest level of microcode is not present.
   2. The previous level of microcode is not present.
   3. An error occurred while attempting to read the microcode file.

To return to the Service Aids Selection menu, press Enter.

Action Taken:
First problem was the customer was using the wrong micro-code
I had the customer run this command against the diskette:
  restore -Tvq
  The customer was using IBM-85XL.02028300.7Z0A
which is for a 8mm 7gb tape drive.

The customer had another diskette with this level on it
   IBM-8505.00000001.7Z0A

The customer was still getting the same error on this diskette
   as well

I had the customer do this:
  cd /etc/microcode
  restore -xvq
  mv IBM-8505.00000001.7Z0A IBM-8505.00000001.800A

Now we could load the microcode on to the tape drive

rmdev -dl rmt1
turned the tape drive off
turned the tape drive back on
cfgmgr

Also I had the customer get this APAR IX48701 PTF U437119
which will correct the error seen within diag.
