Netware/6000 locks up, NVT




Question:

Customer is running AIX 3.2.4 and Netware/6000. There are 
25 PCs attached by ethernet. The users logged on (via NVT) to
system get a message "too many processes cannot fork" and the users 
are locked up. New users can login, but they get the same 
message. Using NVT, Network Virtual Terminal. The RISC System/6000
is a model 570.

Response:

Increase the maximum number of processes allowed per user. This can
be changed with the command "chdev -l sys0 -a maxuproc=100".
The smit fastpath is "smit chgsys".

Type or select values in entry fields.
