Receiving error message Xinit Creating TCP Sockets

Question:

I have received 1356-822: error creating TCP sockets when system boots.

I tried a "/etc/tcp.clean" to stop the TCP/IP daemons and then
"/etc/rc.tcpip" to bring them back up but received the same error.
I can ping and use UDP, but no TCP sockets (possibly no UDP either).
I did a "netstat -a"and verified that no TCP sockets were displayed.
I tried changing the buffer size, but this did no good either.

I did a "errpt -a" and found "Detecting module is 'srchevn.c'@line:'261'.
Failing module is writesrv."

Answer:

You mentioned that you had changed the network buffer size.
In the "/etc/rc.net" file the number was set to 5773457734577345773457334.
You stated that you entered 5i57734\^[ in vi. That was the problem.
You changed number to "57734", re-ipl'ed the machine, and the problem went
disapperared.
