Problem:
  I created a full system backup of rootvg using this syntax:
  sysback -xf /dev/rmt0

  I then tried to restore the data using this method:

  smitty sysback
     Backup & Recovery Options
         Restore Data from a Backup
             I choose the tape drive and choose image number 1
             I choose Regular Files
    

 Enter search word or ENTER for full list           [/usr/*] 
                                                                               
                                 ERROR MESSAGE

  This works when I use this search string  [/usr/l*]
  This works when I use this search string  ["/usr/*"]

Fixed. I've tested this with various strings and appears to
work properly, but be warned that customers frequently find
exceptions so this solution may have created others. This should be
tested thoroughly. Will be included in 4.1.3.3.
