ITEM: DT7439L

DCE: config SCM, gives "cannot get bosserver status"

PROBLEM: Customer is trying to configure a dfs_scm machine.  He only
gets the error "cannot get bosserver status" and the configuration
ends up PARTIAL.

He gets this same error if he tries to issue
"bos status -server /.:/hosts/\"
from the command line.

He does see the "bosserver -noauth" process out there running.

SOLUTION:
The was caused by the lo0 interface being down.
"ifconfig lo0 up" corrected the problem.
