filesystem helper 0506-526 implementation specific error code = 112

Question:

Env:
  AIX 4.1.4
  RISC C10 and SP2 nodes
  sysback 3.3.3.17

Problem:
  Customer runs a full system backup using sysback to a
  remote tape drive and it fails with this error message:

filesystem helper 0506-526 implementation specific error code ={112}
0301-155 bosboot: mkfs failed for /tmp/Bootram.fs

Some nodes work well others fail with this error message:

Action Taken:

1.  /unix is a link to /usr/lib/boot/unix_up
2.  size of /usr/lib/boot/unix_up is 2512196
3.  lslpp -l bos.rte.shell --> 4.1.4.23
    which is a good level

4. I logged into the customers system via modem
    I put some debug output in the /usr/sbin/bosboot script
    I then reran the command:
    First in sysback and then on the command line:
    bosboot -a  -d /dev/rmt99 -p /tmp/rs6k.tape.proto -T rspc
            -k /usr/lib/boot/unix_mp -b /tmp/boot.image

   It failed from the sysback script, but worked on the command
   line.

   I looked at the difference of the /tmp/tape.proto.tmp
   from both the sysback and bosboot script

  The sysback bosboot was proto file make use of this
  proto file
  /usr/lib/boot/protoext/tape.proto.ext.base.com.upmp

I could not figure out which fileset this file came from.
All the systems that had this file on it were failing.
All the systems that did not have this file on it were working.
Once I removed that file the process worked

Action Plan:
  Closing with customer approval
