Diskless clients will not boot.

Question:

I have a model 340 that I am using as a server for a group of 220's.
We had a power outage, and now the 220's are hanging on 517 or 553.
We were having problems with our nameserver, but I think we have that
taken care of.  We had a /etc/resolv.conf file that was zero bytes,
and we are not a nameserver.


Response:

We stopped and started the lockd and statd daemons.  

stopsrc -s lockd
stopsrc -s statd

rm /etc/sm*/*
rm /etc/state

startsrc -s statd
startsrc -s lockd

We were then able to get the 220's to boot.

We then put the domain service back in place on the 340.  We could then use
the name server to telnet to other systems.
