Cant get printer to work on 128-port controller

Question:

Attaching IBM2380 printer to 128-port controller. Using 8-wire cable
and has performed altpin. With printer attached, the LEDs on the RAN
show RTS, DTR only.

Response:

These LEDs indicate the RAN is receiving proper signals from the
system but not from the device. Turned out the customer had the pins
in reverse order in the RJ-45 plug.
