How to set X-station 150 w/ 8517 to handle 1280x1024 resolution?

Question:

X-station 150 and an 8517 monitor - the monitor is capable of 1280x1024
or 1024x768 resolutions.   The Xstation 150 always only seems to provide
1024x768 mode.  How do I configure my setup to handle 
1280X1024 resolution?

The Xstation 150 only supports non-interlaced monitors.  

The 8517 in 1280x1024 resolution mode is interlaced and in 1024x768 it
is a non-interlaced.

Therefore the Xstation only supports the 8517 in 1024x768 mode.
