Howto make 128-PORT RAN available without taking down other users?

Question:

The phone line on a remote RAN was down when the system was rebooted,
and now all the RAN are no longer available, but only defined.  The
tty and lp are also unavailable.  I can not run 'cfgmgr' because this
will take all the active users on the system down.  What can I do?


/usr/lib/methods/cfgsync -l sa\# will now configure the RAN's

mkdev -l tty\#\# to get the tty's back to available state

mkdev -l lp\#\# to get the pritners back to available state.

User is up and running.
