Malloc fails when rebooting/rebuilding from mksysb tape.

Question:

Attempting to rebuild from mksysb.  Creates logical volumes, and root
fs, mkfs /dev/hd4 failed with return code 6.  "Malloc failed".  Booted
from mksysb tape.  Was trying to install 3.2.4, had lots of problems,

Response:

He is missing several files off of the install/maintenance diskette:
  filesystems, vfs, services, protocols, settings

Had him get these files off of another a system (backed them up to
diskette by name and then use 'restbyname' on the standalone shell).

Then he continued on with the install and this seemed to work.  He
will continue with the install.
