ITEM: CI5830L
unable to umount /mnt/usr device busy
˙Env:
AIX 4.1.4
RISC 7012
sysback 3.3.3.0
Desc:
Customer was doing 5 network boots using sysback and installing
from a file image. It failed on all 5 systems with a message
of unable to umount /mnt/usr device busy
Action:
I had the customer choose the option to perform maintenance mode
/etc/umount /dev/hd2 (same error as above)
I tried any combos of this command getting the same error messages
I did a ps -eaf
There was a sleep, sysmain (3 of them) running
I could not kill the sleep, but was able to kill the parent process
of the sleep, which was one of the sysmain.
Now /dev/hd2 will unmount
exit (the install process continue without errors)
Next Action:
Closing with customer approval
