7.1.6 Oracle tools don't use curses correctly in AIX 4.1.4
ENV: 4.1.4
DESC: customer has an Oracle application. This has been brought from
a 3.2.5 system (not recompiled). He connects to his RISC system
in 3 ways.
1) modem connection through native serial port
2) vt100 emulator through network interface to RISC (as tty?)
3) PC telnets to RISC
Method 3 has no problems at all. If he uses either method 1 or
2, then when he exits their application.. the terminal session
is garbage. He explained that Oracle does setup the session in
raw mode. However, if he logs in, then telnets from the RISC
back to itself, then runs and exits the application.. it works fine.
ACT: Customer found that the 7.1.6 Oracle tools did not work, but he
found that if he installs the 7.2 version, it all worked fine. This
installs some pre-linked executables.
