Cloning R30 to E30 but excluding particular filesystems

Environment:  
  AIX 4.1.4  
  RISc R30 AND E30 
  sysback 3.3.3.4

Description: 
 Customer will be cloning his R30 onto and E30.  But the
  E30 will not have enough disk space to hold all of the filesystems
  from the E30.  He will need to ignore those filesystems after booting
  the E30.

Action:

  1.  Confirm the following filesets are installed to support a
      rspc platform type.

            devices.rspc.base.com
            devices.rspc.base.diag
            devices.rspc.base.rte
            devices.scsi.disk.rspc
            devices.scsi.tape.rspc

        Note:  Also filesets for specific graphics adapters and/or
               other hw that is on the target E30 but not on the
               server R30 will need to be installed

  2.  Generate an exclude list so that data of the filesystems
      he chooses not port over to the e30 are backed up.

        smit
         AIX System Backup & Recovery/6000
           Configuration Options
             Exclude Lists

  3.  Create a full system backup on the R30 selecting "rspc" as
      the boot platform type

  4.  Boot the E30 with the backup tape made on the R30

  5.  Select option 2 to edit volume group information

  6.  Select the pvs for the volume groups

  7.  Select the volume group which contains the logical volumes of 
      the filesystems in the exclude list

  8.  Select to not create the logical volumes of the filesystems in 
      the exclude list

  9.  Choose to install with current settings

  Note:  Remember that the R30 still contains and exclude list.  This
         will need to be revised for future full system backups.
