How to down load micro-code on a system without a diskette drive

  Tape 8mm 5gb 7208-011

*CUSTOMER REP:  Mike Hennessey

 PROBLEM:
  The customer needs to install the microcode for the 8mm tape drive, 
  but does not have a diskette drive on the local system

*ACTION TAKEN:
  On the system with the diskette drive run this command:
  -------------------------------------------------------
  1.  restore -xvq
  2.  Copy the file restored  to your system without the diskette
      drive.  Copy that file to the /etc/microcode directory.

On the local system without the diskette drive

3.  diag
    Service Aid
    Microcode Download
    Select your tape drive
    Download the latest level of microcode
    Select "No"  Do you have the microcode on diskette"   
    Select "Yes"  The current level of microcode is not present
