QUESTION:

 ENV:
   Model J40, AIX 4.1.5, Communications Server (3.1.2.0), HCON v2.1.3.0
 PROBLEM:
   I just installed IBM Communications Server for AIX and I installed
   the HCON v2.1 product that came with it.  When I reboot the system,
   I get this message:
      0789-970 The required iFOR/LS license was not found.
               HCON is limited to one session.
   What does this mean?

ANSWER:

   IBM 3270 Host Connection Program for AIX v2.1 is usually purchased
   seperately using product number 5765-398.  There is a trial copy of
   this application bundled with the IBM Communications Server for
   AIX V4 (5765-652).  However, this trial copy of HCON is limited to
   a SINGLE session.

   The message you are seeing is a reminder that the HCON version
   that is installed is limited to one session only.  In the event that
   you will require more than one hcon session, you will need to
   purchase the full product and license it for the number of sessions
   you need.  When you install the full product it will include a
   nodelock key and you will not get that message any longer.
