Hanging on led 609 when doing a network boot

Env:
  AIX 4.1.5
  RISC 43p-140 and 43p-240
  sysback 3.3.3.11

Customer Rep: Steyr-Motoren

Problem:
When the customer does a network boot from one of
the 43p on another 43p it will hang on led 609

Action Taken:
The led 609 is a failure to tftp the file:
/tftpboot/\.sbinfo from the server system to the
 client system.

1. I had the customer check to make sure the file
was there and had the correct permissions.
    It had rwx-rwx-r-x root system
      This looked correct

2. Do this on the server system:
    smitty sb_cfgbootclient
readd your client, make sure all the values are
      correct.

   smitty sb_cfgnetboot
     rebuild the boot images

3. Make sure you are not using leading zeros when filling
out the client, server and gateway ipaddresses in the
    sms menus on the client.

Example in the clients sms menu where you fill in the
ipaddress for the client, server and gateway, if you
have a IPADDRESS like this 9.19.129.186 it will
cause problems if you do this: 009.019.129.186 the
first bootp and tftp will work, but the other tftp
will fail. In our case with a led 609

That is what the problem was, once the customer did
not use leading zeros it got us past hanging on led 609

Action Plan:
  Closing with customer approval
