After replacing RS/6000 token ring adapter 4033 printers stopped
After replacing a token ring adapter in my machine my 4033 attached
network printers no longer function.
The 4033 has to have knowledge of your token ring adapter's MAC
address. We created another test print queue to the MAC address of
each of your token ring printers. Then, we removed them. This
runs the mklanprt utility which tells the 4033 the MAC address of
the system that will be sending it print jobs.
The associated between the 4033 and the RS/6000 can also be done
with Lexmark's splpa command (/usr/lpp/lap/splpa) using the
-c option to capture the device.
