Desc:
  Customer is trying to make a full system backup and gets this 
  error:
  ODM error retrieving vgname for vgid
  Can not retrieve vgserial_id attribute

Action:
  Traced the messages to  mkvginfo as the command with the problem

\# getlvminfo -VN
ODM error retrieving vgname for vgid
\# getlvminfo -V rootvg -1ASqpN
Can not retrieve vgserial_attribute
\# lspv
showed three PVs for rootvg
\# lqueryvg -Atp hdisk0
showed three PVs for rootvg

\# odmget -q attribute=vgserial_id CuAt
Cannot open class CuAt
\# odmget CuAt
Cannot open class CuAt

Either it can't find CuAt, or CuAt is corrupt.

\# echo $ODMDIR
Just gives a blank line.

\# export ODMDIR=/etc/objrepos

Now Sysback works.
