Question:

Env:
  AIX 4.1.4
  RISC J30
  sysback 3.3.3.6

Desc:
Customer just upgraded from AIX 3.2 to AIX 4.1
When the customer runs a sysback -f /dev/rmt0
  He gets this error message:

strip: Not a recognized flag: k
strip: -- Usage: strip [-V] {-l[-r|-x]|-r|-t|-x|-H} File ...

Action:
  bosboot -ad /dev/rmt0
Gave that same error messages as above

  strip -Kernal
Failed with the same error message

I had the customer compare the /usr/ccs/bin/strip
file with one on another 4.1 system. The files
are total different. I had the customer ftp that
file from the other system. Now the bosboot
  works

Next Action:
  Closing with customer approval
