0782-059 error adding JetDirect queue at 4.1.4

ENV:
        AIX 3.2.5 and 4.1.4
        SP2
        HP LaserJet 4 attached via JetDirect
DESC:
        I have 1 3.2.5 SP node and 2 4.1.4 nodes.  I am trying to
        add JetDirect virtual printers.  It worked fine for the 3.2.5
        machine and one of the 4.1.4 nodes, but when I try adding a
        JetDirect queue on the 2nd 4.1.4 node, I get the error:

 0782-059:Attribute name passed to subroutine piogetstr by program 
 piodigest is not valid
 The attribute name is mD.

        lslpp -h printers.hpJetDirect.attach

        lslpp -h printers.hplj-4.rte

        lslpp -h printers.rte

cd /usr/lib/lpd/pio/predef
        The hplj-4.* files are present.  The PCL virtual printer you
were trying to add shouldn't have an mD attribute at all.  Size and
checksum of these files is correct.

df
        df shows /var is nearly 100% full.  Increased size of /var 
        and the error no longer occurs.
