sbclient: Cannot find ip address for hostname

Question:

Env:
  AIX 4.1.4
  RISC SP2
  sysback 3.3.1.3

Desc:
Customer is unable to configure the client to use the
  servers tape drives.
  Getting this error message:

Either the server has not been configured for remote services
or has not been given access from this client.

Action:
On the server I check this file:
  /usr/lpp/sysback/.remote_access

  +ralph:+root:all::

Which means the host "ralph" and user root can use all the
devices.

On the client ran this command:
sbclient \ echo

errored with this:
sbclient: Cannot find ip address for hostname

One thing to note, on the hostname it was missing the last two
chars. The hostname is 34 chars in size and it only displayed
32 of them.

This is a newly discovered bug with sysback.
Fixed in 3.3.1.17

3.3.1.17 Hostname/domain name limited to 32 characters in
sbclient command. Results in the message
"Cannot find ip address for {hostname}" if hostname
too long. Extended hostname to 256 characters.

            WORKAROUND: none

Next Action:
Sending new code to the customer. Closing with customer
  approval.
