NetView - filter out ONLY node down for certain machines

Question:

DESC:  Trying to set up a simple filter to keep certain machines from
sending the node up and node down events.

Resolution:

        The customer wants to filter the node down trap from
        a node.

        There are two options:

        1) Use Options-Event configuration

           a) Copy node down event
           b) Modify the copy to take the node down event and
                not to log it or display it

        2) Filters:

           This is the more complicated senerio. The filter     
                specifies what is to be sent to the workspace where
                it is activated. To do this, two filters must be
                created and then ored.
                The first filter will address the Node Down event
                and the second filter will address all other 
                events.

        The configuration:

        Filter 1 - configure events = to node down
                 - configure From objects not equal to list and
                   put in the source machine.

        Filter2 - configure events not equal to node down from
                   all sources

        Filter3 - compound filter (Filter1  ||  Filter2)


        The Activation (two ways)

        a)      Activate the compound filter (Filter3)

        b)      Activate filter1 and activate filter2 on the same
                workspace
