LED 888-103-803-831 when booting diagnostics from hard drive

Desc:
  Customer is trying to boot into diagnostics from the hard drive
  (NOT from diskettes) and the system crashes with the following
  LED codes:  888-103-803-831.

  The customer is able to boot into normal mode, from diagnostic 
  diskettes, from mksysb and from a diagnostic cdrom without any 
  problems.  The customer is also able to run diagnostics in 
  normal mode.  The only thing failing is trying to boot into 
  diagnostics from the hard drive (key in the Service position).

Action:
  After doing some research I found the APAR to fix this problem is:
  IX46561

Next Action:
  Ordered fix for the customer, closing with customer approval.
